My name is Bill Moore and I have lived in Boone NC since 1979. I learned welding, brazing, and silver soldering as a mechanical contractor while in business here and  living in Raleigh, which is where I grew up. I enjoyed an interesting career of Heating, Air Conditioning, Commercial Refrigeration, and Electrical contracting all of which I still hold  licenses in the State of NC. I gave up the contracting business in 1997 but for some consulting and became a Registered and Certified Emergency Nurse and Paramedic along with a B.S. in Nursing, so when not making Junkyard Critters, I work in the Emergency Departments of several local hospitals. I also have been a volunteer with the Watauga County Rescue Squad  and the Beech Mtn Ski Patrol since 1992. Telemark skiing is my passion. In addition to skiing and welding, my other favorite hobbies are aviation and hiking. I am a Certified Instrument and Multi-engine Flight Instructor and hold a Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot License for single and multi-engine aircraft as well. My flying began in 1985. Our home is just outside Boone where I live with my wife Rebecca and our four dogs, Levi, Kiah, Lucy and Josie. My stepdaughter Anna is married and lives with her husband Santiago in Alexandria VA.
